Getting his local start in the Acoustic Showcase performances at Dinkytown's Borealis, Erik Espe is fast becoming a must see in the local music scene. His trademark pure voice, melodic guitar accompaniment, and insightful lyrics expressively speak of twenty-something experiences: love, work, friendships, and reflections on life. His are the kind of songs that tempt a listener to play them on repeat, singing along as the words become familiar. Espe has recently released a CD and consequently it has become easier to learn seven of his original songs and two Martin Sexton covers, complete with that Espe style.
