Quintessential is a Vanvouver - based five piece band that is all about great music made famous by jazz legends like Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and Duke Ellington. We play jazz that can soothe your soul or that can get your feet dancing with tunes so familiar they are known as "standards." Throw in some stellar original jazz compostions, add electric keyboard and bass to trumpet, guitar and drums and you get Quintessential - "classic jazz with twist."
From intimate gatherings to outdoor jazz festivals Quintessential has enjoyed sharing great jazz with many appreciative audiences. Our performing resume covers it all - gigs that range from media hosted VIP events in posh ballrooms to packing out the local coffee bistro . . . . and everything in between - weddings, corporate events, parties, fundraisers, banquets and more.
